Well, we found a new investigator named Socorro a little while back and she is just really awesome... she asks very few questions but understands our message and loves listening. Well, we went to her house this last week and we were about to start the lesson when all of the sudden her son Rodrigo walked in with his wife Rocío and their two kids Ruby and Gonzalo. They walked in the door and Rocío said to us, "We wanted to come receive wedding counseling from you. Can you help us? Well, both being experts in marriage, we said, "Of course we can help!" :). We then explained about our purpose as missionaries and they expressed to us that they have been having problems in their marraige and want their marraige to last so that they can see their kids grow and so that they can be grandparents one day together. We then explained to them that our message will help them even more than what they can imagine... that they can live happy together in this life and para siempre después tambien... forever and ever. We started teaching and they mentioned to us that their baby (named Lluvia) passed away 7 months ago and wanted to know if they were ever going to see her again. We testified that they can see her again if they follow the teachings of our Savior Jesus Christ. They were really excited to learn more and they accepted a baptismal date in the first lesson. Hermano Rodrigo then asked us what it was that he was feeling... he said he felt peace and very happy... we explained to him that it was the Holy Ghost testifying that our message is true. We ended the lesson shedding a few tears and leaving them with the Book of Mormon.
The next lesson I was talking to Rodrigo and felt like I had seen him before. We got talking and he told me that he sells corn and that I had bought corn from him before. I then recognized him... Elder Tucker and I used to always go to his Corn stand and buy his amazing corn on the cob... about 13 months ago :) It's so crazy how this man is so ready here the gospel and how I didn't even recognize it 13 months ago. For something I have been sent back here to Tepatitlán :) It's honestly crazy how many people in the street remember me... it's also pretty funny how there are a lot of members that don't remember me and don't have a clue who I am :D It's all good.
I really am doing well. It's stressful at times but I'm really enjoying my time here.
We got in a fight with an old man in the street this last week (okay we didn't really fight but he sure wanted to :) ) He was about 86 years old and was yelling at us about how we don't believe in the Mom of God. It's just funny the ignorance of many people that we run into here :)
Love,
Elder Summers
