Familia,
This week was just a great week. Morelia is just awesome. I love the ward here... they really just want to work hard. In our area there are a lot of conversos recientes [recent converts]... to give you a little bit of an idea every Sunday we have about 12 recent converts in Sacrament meeting just from our area... and their are 3 companionships here. The Elders Quorom president is a converso reciente from our area, the Ward Mission Leader is a converso reciente from my area, even the 2nd counsler in the Bishopic is a converso reciente from my area. It's crazy! But they are just awesome and love being part of and truly participating in the Church.
It's true Dad, like your friend Victor said, the people from here are buena gente... I am just realizing what you used to tell me about the people from your mission - that you will just love them because they are just great people. Don't get me wrong... I did love it in Guadalajara but it's just a different atmosphere here... people are just genuinely nice. I love the people here.
I also think that the training that you are doing at work right now is similar to the training I am giving out here in the mission field... it's really okay to try and figure it out by yourself and then ask me for help if you can't figure it out. Although our training experiences are similar, I hope you havent had to help him understand that its okay to throw the toilet paper in the toilet... yeah, that was a fun conversation ;)
We had a lot of success this week in finding the chosen and in having people in Sacrament Meeting. This week we found a family that are just awesome and are truly interested. They are called the Familia Ruíz. They are great but the parents work Sundays... that'll be tough. We had a total of 6 investigadores in Sacrament meeting in our area (that's actually a lot for me... the most I have ever had in my whole mission is like 4 one Sunday).
I feel like we are getting lost in the work... I love it here and know that we are going to have a lot of success. It honestly feels like I still have a lot more time in the mission... but in reality it's not that much... weird right?
Love you all... stay in church
Love,
Elder Summers
P.S. Sorry, I didn't really take pictures this week!
