Hola Famillia,
This last week was quick but was way fun. like I mentioned last week we received Elder Ramirez as a new companion. He's such a cool guy. This last week was a blast with the three of us preaching the gospel. We look a little silly with Elder Gigante, Elder Gringo, y Elder Bajo walking around everywhere but it's
chill - we're doing the Lords work. Like I said Elder Ramirez is a pretty cool guy. Turns out he likes a lot of the same kind of music as me so we had a lot of fun talking about bands and such. In the states there's not a lot of music in different languages that are muy popular pero I'm learning that American music is
popular all around the world. Here in Mexico I hear American music all of the time in the streets. I thought I would just hear La Banda and the Mariachi type music through out my mission. That's one thing I miss from home... music. Sometimes when I am feeling down I wish I could just turn on some tunes from my girl Taylor Swift and feel better. But it's okay... music can wait for 19 more months.
One thing that was fun this last week was trying to communicate with Elder Ramirez and Elder Hernandez. I'm used to the accent of Elder Hernandez and his quiet voice but Elder Ramirez has a whole different accent and speaks at a faster speed. Surprisingly I am understanding a lot but still working on the response part. Work is slow in the way that we still don't have investigators progressing but at the same time it feels like the mission's going by fast. I wake up, preach the word, come home, cook good food, sleep, and do the next day the same way. I love it.
So we had changes in the mission today and I'm really sad to say that the Trio is no more. Elder Ramirez was only able to work in las calles de Tepa por 1 semana. Its sad but we had a blast while he was here and I know that he'll do great in his next area. He is a really good guy and a really great missionary and he will be missed but El Gigante Espiritual y yo solomente necesitamos continuar en la obra del Señor.
Yeah so I definitely thought that I was going to be the one leaving in this change because I had more time that Elder Ramirez and Elder Hernandez in this area... so this last week I spent my time saying good bye to families and seeing the reciente conversos... I legit have been sad the last couple days because I thought I was going to leave. Tepatitlan is my home. Its going to be hard to leave... I love the people here... and Tepa is my home. But I am not leaving yet and I at least have this Change to make a difference here in Tepatitlan. This next week I'm definitely going to feel stupid having to tell people that I'm not leaving yet and that I was just kidding about all of my good byes. It's what ever.
I love you all. I am doing really well and am growing more everyday! Keep being strong in the gospel and I'll see you all sooner than you think!
