This week was a pretty fun week. I absolutely love it here in Morelia! It is honestly just really pretty and just fun. It has like a foresty type area on the outskirts while it is still a pretty big city with about 3-4 million people living here.
Something really funny is the transportation here. Instead of big buses like in Guadalajara we go around in combis. This little vans that go around the city. Its just kind of awkward in these combis because you sit down and you are just looking at about 3 people in the face. It's funny... but it is very uncomfortable when there are more people in the combi than seats.
Elder Vargas and I got lost about 50 times this last week but it was fun... Elder Vargas is a really good guy. I am being able to understand him a little bit better... but it is kind of strange sometimes when I have to translate his Spanish to the Spanish spoken here in México to the people. I really like Elder Vargas and has a good attitude... he is really funny as well. He is trying to convince me that in his patriarcal blessing it tells him that his wife is going to be American and also in his blessing it has her address and her phone number... I don't know I don't believe him.
We had a funny lesson this last week with some investigators. Our investigator had some questions about what will happen after death. I started to explain but then he had a question about hell. I told him that hell with demons and fire doesn't exist but its more like a state of mind that you could've done better. He got angry with me and told me that there is a hell. We then read a scripture to explain the priesthood found in Luke 9.1-2 ... and I asked him what he could understand... he than called me a liar because in this scripture it clearly talks about demons because Christ gave his apostles the power to cast them out. :) The mission is funny... we had a good laugh afterwards... we will probably drop this investigator this week.
I am doing really well... loving the mission... and I love it here in Morelia!
