Familia,
Okay so this is going to be a quick letter but here we go. This last week was great and we had a really good time in the Christmas actividad as our zone. So what happened was that three of the zones in Guadalajara got together and we had a devotional given by our president of the mission President Camarillo which was very good. It was very uplifting and he talked a lot about how we should be excited to be missionaries and to work with the members of the ward. It was very good and uplifting. Then we watched a talk by Elder Russell M. Nelson, which was also very good, and then we had 3 new missionaries share their testimonies with us about Christmas and Christ (Claro). It was really uplifting.
We then did an activity to exchange gifts with another random missionary. I was able to use the sacred cocoa to make deliciously half burnt no-bake cookies (but they were made with love). The activity was fun and I really like the missionaries in my zone... they are really neat and fun people. Okay so I didn't end up singing a solo but I sang with 5 other members of the Zone "O Holy Night" and it turned out pretty well. There is a missionary in our zone named Elder Mills (from Vegas) that sings really well... so pretty much we all just let him sing the chorus and helped out with the verses. It was really fun... and although my voice isn't amazing, it is really fun for me to sing and we felt the Spirit super strong while we were singing and after! We had a Christmas lunch with the President which consisted of pork roast, Christmas salad, agua de piña and mashed potatoes (but they weren't half as good as the mashed potatoes Gramma makes).
Our investigador Gerardo is progressing and is preparing for his bautismo 17 de Enero (January). It's really fun to help him and watch him grow in the Gospel.
It still doesn't feel like its anywhere near Christmas but I'm excited for it. Feliz Navidad to everyone and I love you all.
Con Amor,
Elder Summers
