This was actually a really fun week. The trio is awesome. It is fun having us three together and we get along really well. One thing that has been a little hard is trying to adjust to having three teachers in all of the lessons. I have been so used to just taking turns with one companion.... now I have two more so we have to be a little more efficient with our use of time in the lessons. It has been really good. Getting to the studies on time has been tough. We have 5 elders in the same house and one bathroom. That's fun. Usually one person is always late to the studies but we are working on it. The studies are more fun as well in a trio because we now do practices but one person is the investigador and the other two are the missionaries. It's fun.
We pretty much just make fun of Elder Rodríguez every day. He is really funny but really short. He is hilarious. It turns out that Elder López and Elder Rodríguez were in the same stake before the mission so they have a lot of friends in common and often talk about them during the day. I don't mind... it's kind of fun that they knew each other before the mission.
We had a cool experience this week finding a person who was ready to hear the gospel. It was late and we were headed home and I saw someone walking in the street. I walked by him and started talking with him. We made an apointment and stopped by his house. His name is Angel. He told us that about 15 minutes before talking to him, he was talking with his mom saying that he wanted to come closer to God. He took it as a sign when we talked to him. He feels that the Book of Mormon is true and feels that we talked to him for a reason... that God put us in his path. Now I'll be honest... I can't say that the Spirit told me to go talk to him... or I felt that I needed to talk to him... I just did it, and he was ready. I have found that out often in the mission... maybe I am following the Spirit with out recognizing it... but I kind of have a belief that God has His way of working and it was in his plan that we met him that night. He is going to progress and even accepted a baptismal date in the first lesson.
I am doing really well and am enjoying my time here in the mission. Its crazy that I have been out 18 months. Time is going by super fast and I think I just got to work my butt of these last 6 months.
Love you all, stay strong in the church, and don't listen to Satan.
Love,
Elder Summers
